Our commission
Last updated: 1st September 2025
1. Purpose
This policy explains how Elevate Business Finance Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is paid for the credit broking services we provide, and how we disclose any commission or other remuneration we may receive in connection with arranging finance.
We aim to be clear and transparent so you can make an informed decision before proceeding. This aligns with our approach to clear comparisons and consistent commission disclosure.
2. Who we are
We act as a credit broker, not a lender, and introduce UK businesses and business-purpose borrowers to finance providers.

Elevate Business Finance Limited is registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16723734). Registered office: 5 West Ct, Enterprise Rd, Maidstone ME15 6JD. We’re registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (Registration No. ZB999675).
3. What is commission?
“Commission” is a payment we may receive from a lender, funder, or finance provider when finance completes. Commission may be referred to as (for example) a procuration fee, broker commission, introducer fee, or packager fee.
Commission amounts can vary depending on factors such as the lender, product type, facility size, and complexity.
4. How we may be paid
Depending on the product and circumstances, we may receive one or more of the following:
4.1 Commission from a lender/funder
We may receive a commission payment from the lender/funder if your finance completes. This may be:
-
a fixed amount; and/or
-
a percentage of the facility amount; and/or
-
a percentage of the lender’s gross commission.
4.2 Fees paid by you (broker fees)
In some cases, we may charge a broker fee payable by you. If a broker fee applies, we will disclose it clearly before you proceed and confirm when it is payable (e.g., on offer, on completion, or another agreed stage).
4.3 Fees paid by third parties
In some situations, a lender may work via a distributor/packager and a fee may be paid within the distribution chain. Where relevant, we will explain this in plain language.
4.4 Introducer/partner payments
If you were referred to us by an introducer (e.g., an accountant, consultant, or partner), we may pay them a share of the commission we receive. (This does not increase the amount you owe unless you have separately agreed a client fee with us.) Our operating model includes introducer relationships where commission may be shared.
5. When and how we disclose commission
We disclose commission in two ways:
5.1 Upfront disclosure (before you proceed)
Before you proceed with a specific lender/funder or product, we will confirm the nature of any commission arrangement relevant to that facility.
5.2 On request (details of the amount)
If you would like the amount of commission (in £ and/or as a percentage), you can ask us at any time and we will provide it in a clear format. Our standard wording is “commission available on request.”
6. Commission never affects our decisions
Commission never affects our decisions or recommendations. We recommend and present options based solely on what best fits your needs and circumstances, including cost, speed, structure, flexibility, security, and the likelihood of completion.
Commission levels can vary between lenders and products, but this is not a factor in our decision-making. We manage any potential conflict by:
-
prioritising suitability and lender fit (including underwriting likelihood);
-
presenting clear comparisons where possible; and
-
confirming the nature of any commission arrangement before you proceed (and providing commission details on request).
